Strip down to metal
Respectable looking shiny red paint turns out to be a recent respray over 26 layers of paint and other materials on this otherwise stunning 1954 Arnolt Bristol Deluxe roadster. Soda blasting is the preferred way to strip down to metal in preparation for repainting. Successfully painting over old paint and body fillers can be like rolling dice.
Stripping all paint and fillers is the proper way to correct rust problems.
